The mean temperature of 14.0°C made it the coldest since 2020, and 0.2°C below the 1991-2020 LTALTA Long Term Average. This is usually defined as a 30 year period by the WMO.. This was the third below average month in 2024 so far in central England, in a year which globally almost certainly will be the warmest on record.
